Harm van den Dorpel is a Dutch artist known for his work in net art and generative art, often employing algorithms derived from genetics in his art. He was born in 1981 in Zaandam, Netherlands. His art often incorporates algorithms and computer programs to create dynamic and evolving digital works. He has exhibited his work in various international art galleries and institutions, including the New Museum and MoMa PS1. In 2015, he became the first artist to sell an NFT to a museum.
